WEDDING VENUE INNISFIL

Behind the Manor Doors: Discover How a 1905 Homestead Became Simcoe County’s Coveted Wedding Venue

Imagine this: You’re walking through a century-old doorway, the scent of fresh florals in the air, soft light pouring in through antique windows, and your favorite people waiting just beyond a courtyard of historic stonework. It’s your wedding day — and it’s taking place in one of Simcoe County’s best-kept secrets.

Welcome to The Glass Manor — a charming 1905 homestead turned intimate event venue in the heart of Innisfil, Ontario. Once the home of Ruben Glass (yes, that Glass), a well-known cattle drover back in the day, this place has had a serious glow-up. Think: antique hardwood floors, a Pinterest-worthy courtyard, and a vintage-meets-modern vibe that feels both elegant and effortless.

Whether you're dreaming of a cozy micro wedding, planning a baby or bridal shower that’s anything but basic, or just looking for a space that feels as special as your story — you’re in the right place. Our venue was literally built for this.

We’ve blended history, heart, and a whole lot of detail to create a space that feels personal, peaceful, and just plain magical. And trust us — you’ll feel it the second you walk through our doors.

Chapter 1: A Glimpse into History

Let’s rewind the clock to 1905, a time when Innisfil was a burgeoning community, and a distinguished cattle drover named Mr. Ruben Glass laid the foundation for what would become a cherished landmark. He built a homestead that not only served as a family residence but also became a testament to the era's craftsmanship and community spirit.

When Bill and Diana Robinson acquired the estate in 2017, they were contacted by Mrs. Marilyn Helcoe, Ruben’s granddaughter, about the original dining room table that was used by the Glass Family. They didn’t know why they had to have it, but they knew they needed it. Once the idea of an expanded event space was dreamt of, they chose to honor this heritage by naming it The Glass Manor.

In 2017, Bill and Diana Robinson purchased the property, and acquiring the dining table, they had a vision to transform this historic homestead into a venue for intimate celebrations. Their passion for preserving the manor's character while adapting it for modern events has created a unique space where history and elegance intertwine.

Today, The Glass Manor stands as a beautifully restored venue that seamlessly blends its rich past with contemporary charm. Whether you're planning a micro wedding, a bridal shower, or a birthday celebration, the manor offers an intimate setting that resonates with history and sophistication.

Chapter 2: The Transformation into The Glass Manor

When we first stepped onto the historic homestead that would become The Glass Manor, we were captivated by its timeless charm. The re-built barns maintain a rich history that we were eager to preserve while reimagining the space for modern celebrations.

🛠️ Renovation Vision: Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present

Our goal was to maintain the manor's original character while incorporating contemporary amenities to create a comfortable and functional event space. We carefully restored the structure, ensuring that each modification respected the building's historical integrity.

🎨 Design Elements: Where Vintage Meets Modern Elegance

The manor's design seamlessly blends rustic elements with refined details:

💖 Personal Touches: A Family Legacy Continues

One of the most cherished additions to The Glass Manor is the original Glass family dining table. This 10-foot antique piece, complete with six leaves, was generously offered to us by Mr. Ruben Glass's granddaughter, Mrs. Marilyn Helcoe. Incorporating this table into our space not only honours the family's legacy but also provides a tangible connection to the manor's storied past.

Through thoughtful restoration and design, The Glass Manor has evolved into a venue that celebrates its historical roots while offering modern comforts. It's a place where memories are made, and history is both preserved and created anew.
