Today, the Glass Manor reception space operates in the original building of the Cookstown Antique Market (seen in the photo) which our owners, Bill and Diana purchased (from Bill's parents) in 2017. During covid, a renovation of this building began and so did construction of the stone courtyard. In order to pivot in business - when nonessential stores were closed- The Glass Manor event space was born.
'Glass Manor,’ is an ode to the family that originally built the yellow home on our property, the Glass Family. The home (built in approximately 1905) is where Mr.Ruben Glass lived with his wife Mrs. Dickson Glass and their four children;Margaret, Helen, Louise and Arthur.
A lot of hard work and love was put into this building and our outdoor courtyard,to create the perfect European inspired space for intimate event celebrations. Today, the Glass Manor bares witness to first dances, dinner parties, Christmas traditions, business meetings and so much more.
